This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and process your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services, or otherwise communicate with us.

New Entheogen Limited is the entity responsible for personal information collected through the Services and is the data controller for the purposes of applicable privacy law. The Services are powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide them to you.

If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.

Two practices deserve particular attention, and we have described them in plain terms below: our identification of business visitors to this website, and our handling of pages that discuss therapeutic uses of our products.

Technologies and Service Providers We Use

We name the third-party technologies operating on soundself.com so that you can see who receives information about your visit and can exercise choices about them. As of the date of this policy, these are:

Platform and commerce

  • Shopify — hosts the store, processes orders and payments, and provides commerce analytics.
  • Shop Pay — accelerated checkout and payment.

Analytics and tag management

  • Google Analytics 4 — measurement of site usage.
  • Google Tag Manager — management of the tags described in this list.

Customer relationship management and marketing

  • HubSpot — customer relationship management, form capture, email marketing, and behavioral analytics, including page-view and link-click activity associated with a contact record.
  • Mailchimp — email marketing campaigns and audience management.
  • UpPromote — affiliate and referral-code attribution.
  • Twilio — SMS and messaging.
  • Calendly — appointment and consultation booking.

Advertising and retargeting

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag — conversion measurement and retargeting on LinkedIn.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — conversion measurement and retargeting on Meta platforms.
  • Google Ads — remarketing and conversion measurement.

Visitor identification and enrichment

  • RB2B — identification of individual business visitors to the site. See "Identification of Business Visitors" below.
  • Apollo — business-contact data enrichment.

Site features

  • Okendo — customer reviews and ratings.
  • Mapbox and StoreRocket — maps and provider/location finder, which may use approximate location derived from your IP address or device settings.

We may add, remove, or replace these providers over time, and will update this list when we do. Each provider processes information under its own privacy notice.

Identification of Business Visitors

SoundSelf sells primarily to clinics, practitioners, and healthcare organizations. To support that business, we use a third-party service (RB2B) that attempts to identify individual professional visitors to soundself.com — not merely the company they work for.

This means that when you visit our website, even if you never fill out a form, create an account, contact us, or otherwise tell us who you are, we may learn and record:

  • your name;
  • your employer or organization;
  • your professional email address;
  • your job title and professional profile, such as a LinkedIn profile; and
  • the pages on soundself.com that you viewed, and when.

This identification is produced by matching signals from your visit against third-party business and professional data sources. It is not derived from information you provide to us on this site. We use it to understand which organizations are interested in SoundSelf, and to follow up with those we believe may benefit from our products.

What we do not do. This service is directed at business visitors. We do not seek to identify visitors we have reason to believe are patients or individual consumers. We do not use this identification to infer, record, or target you on the basis of any health condition — see the following section. We do not sell this information.

Your choices. You may ask us not to identify you, not to contact you on the basis of a visit, or to delete information we have obtained in this way, by emailing privacy@soundself.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to opt out of processing of this kind, which you may exercise at our data sharing opt-out page or by contacting us. If you visit our site with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will treat that as an opt-out request as described under "Your Rights and Choices."

Pages About Therapeutic Uses

Parts of soundself.com describe therapeutic applications of our products, including pages about ketamine-assisted therapy, Spravato (esketamine), and psychotherapy, along with landing pages we may run on those topics.

We want to be direct about what this does and does not mean:

  • These pages carry the same analytics, advertising, and visitor-identification technologies as the rest of our site. Visiting them may contribute to your being shown SoundSelf advertising on other platforms, and may be recorded as part of a business visitor's site activity as described above.
  • We do not treat browsing as a health disclosure. We do not use page visits to infer, record, or flag that you or anyone else has any medical condition, has received any treatment, or is a patient. We do not create or target advertising audiences defined by health condition, diagnosis, or treatment status.
  • Where you submit health information, we do not track. We do not deploy advertising, retargeting, or visitor-identification technologies on any page where you submit intake information, health information, or details about your own care. If we introduce such a page or form, it will be excluded from these technologies.
  • Our intended audience is professional. These pages are directed at clinicians and clinic operators evaluating SoundSelf for their practices, rather than at patients seeking treatment.

If you would prefer that your visit to any of these pages not be associated with you, contact privacy@soundself.com and we will remove that association.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Provide, tailor, and improve the Services. To perform our contract with you, process payments, fulfill orders, remember your preferences, send notifications related to your account, process purchases, returns, exchanges and other transactions, create and manage your account, arrange shipping, enable reviews, and create a customized experience such as recommending related products.
  • Marketing and advertising. To send marketing and promotional communications by email, text message, or postal mail, and to show you online advertisements for our products or services on the Services or other websites, including based on your prior activity.
  • Business development. To identify organizations that may benefit from our products and to contact professional visitors and prospective customers, as described under "Identification of Business Visitors."
  • Security and fraud prevention. To authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, detect, investigate or act on possible fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity, and protect public safety. If you register an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.

How We Disclose Personal Information

  • With Shopify and with the vendors and service providers named above under "Technologies and Service Providers We Use," and with other third parties who perform services on our behalf (for example IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping).
  • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you reside, you may have a right to direct us not to share information about you in order to show you targeted advertising based on your online activity across different merchants and websites. You can exercise that right at our data sharing opt-out page.
  • When you direct, request, or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations.
  • With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy; to comply with applicable legal obligations, including responding to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests; to enforce applicable terms of service or policies; and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside. In addition, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data obtained from your interactions with our store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. In these circumstances Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over its use for these purposes. The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information found there. Information you provide in public or semi-public venues, including on third-party social networking platforms, may be viewable by others without limitation as to its use. Our inclusion of such links does not by itself imply any endorsement.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the details below to request that it be deleted. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

If we decline a request you have made to exercise a right under this policy, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or by writing to privacy@soundself.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general or local data protection authority to submit a complaint.

International Transfers

Please note that we may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country in which you live. Our databases are located in the United States. If we transfer your personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the relevant competent authority of the UK, unless the transfer is to a country determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
