Why aren’t the lights flashing? How do I turn the intensity of the lights down or up?
Check the Kasina device “lights” level. On the Right side of the Kasina, there are buttons to turn the light intensity up and down. 50% is where most people keep theirs but this needs to be adjusted to the user’s liking.

The lights flashed at first, then stopped.

This is normal in story mode, the first 5 minutes are spent in darkness. Additionally, if you look at the right side of your computer when SoundSelf is running… it should say “Darkness” when the lights are off, or it will display the brain wave pattern that corresponds to wherever the experience is currently at.

Do I have to do vocal toning the entire time?
While it’s totally ok to take breaks, SoundSelf is designed to be a participatory experience. After vocal toning begins, about 5 minutes into the guided meditation experience, it’s helpful to settle into a rhythm of relaxed inhalations and vocal toning throughout the entire experience.

Why don’t I get any feedback from my vibro-acoustics?

For Vibro Acoustic Bed users, the correct Audio settings must be selected before opening SoundSelf. Before launching the SoundSelf application, make sure your system preferences are the following:

• Input- Corsair or another external mic if you are using other headphones

• Output- External Headphones (this is where you’ll connect vibroacoustics)

I’m getting the “Microphone Muted” error!

SoundSelf detects “muting” based on the level of the microphone input. You could be getting a false-positive. Try tapping the microphone to confirm it’s not the mute button.

Can SoundSelf be used without the lights?

Yes! SoundSelf can be used with audio only. Sometimes people choose to start doing SoundSelf with just an audio-only experience, and then move on to doing it with light stimulation as well.

What Mode do I start with?

We recommend starting with the story mode and then moving down to the Theta Charge or Integration once comfortable with the software.

Can I skip the intro?

No, the intro is baked into story mode. For users not needing the intro/tutorial, please choose Theta Charge or Integration.

I am not getting any strobing in my Kasina glasses.

Please check that the glasses are plugged into the 3.5mm port on the RIGHT of the Kasina device, and not on the left.

SoundSelf is saying “No glasses detected” yet my Kasina is powered on and plugged in properly.

Highlight the USB button in the top right corner and press it once. After that, please start SoundSelf Pro. It should auto-detect the kasina USB settings from here.

SoundSelf still isn’t working and none of this helped!
